Barack Obama was visiting a bar in Wehumpton, Alabama when he decided he wanted to prove to everyone that he was a “man of the people” by tossing a pretzel in the air and catching it in his mouth.
Unfortunately for our former “President,” his ego once again got him in trouble. He managed to catch the pretzel, but he slid down his throat causing him to choke for a full minute until someone who was willing to save his life could be tracked down to perform the Heimlich maneuver.
According to the Wehumpton Register, an ambulance took Obama to the local Saint Agnes’ Memorial Hospital where he was placed in intensive care. Obama has since slipped in and out of consciousness multiple times.
“They aren’t sure what’s wrong yet,” a nurse remarked on condition of anonymity because is not authorized to discuss patient records. “There’s a chance he may not make it. A neurologist has been called in to make sure there’s not something wrong with his brain.”
Obama was in town to visit the Civil Rights Museum in nearby Mobile when he decided to stop off and pretend he’s just one of the guys.
In a statement, Michelle Obama asked Americans to pray for her husband, whom she arrogantly says is the “best President to grace our nation since Lincoln.”
